NSRF MicroTraining for LFMN: Protocols for Connecting Virtually and Intro to NSRF Virtual Critical Friends Group Work

March 4, 2021 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

$10.00

Join us to learn how to facilitate a couple of widely used protocols from the National School Reform Faculty, home of Critical Friends Group professional learning communities.  You’ll leave the session with two tools that you will be able to use immediately with colleagues and/or students.

Since 1994, the National School Reform Faculty has helped educators form and lead Critical Friends Group professional learning communities through CFG Coaches’ Trainings. CFG work focuses on using protocols (structured conversations) to build trust, to help participants improve our practices together, and to keep our students’ needs and well-being in the forefront of what we do.

Since Spring 2020 (with the arrival of the pandemic in the U.S.), NSRF has learned to translate most of our activities into virtual spaces and to develop new ones, and learned more about connecting deeply and authentically via videoconference screens. Please join this micro-training to experience a couple of structured conversations and learn how to use them in your own practice.

A few important notes:

Expect to be on-camera and on-task!  This is not a “sit-and-get” webinar, and you will be asked to speak in breakout rooms, with options to speak in the larger group.
